Ronan Keating

Ronan Keating is an Irish singer-songwriter, broadcaster and philanthropist who has spent more than three decades in front of live audiences and cameras. He joined Boyzone in 1993 and went on to a solo career that has sold more than 20 million records worldwide, with number one albums in the UK and the global hit When You Say Nothing at All.

Alongside music he has built a substantial broadcasting career. He has presented BBC One's The One Show, first as a guest presenter from 2017 and as a main presenter from 2021, and co-hosted Magic Radio's weekday breakfast show for seven years until 2024. He has been a judge and mentor on The X Factor Australia and a coach on The Voice Kids in the UK, The Voice of Germany and The Voice Australia, supporting young and emerging artists.

His hosting experience goes back to the 1990s, when he co-presented the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin in 1997 and hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2025 the Sky documentary series Boyzone: No Matter What told the band's story, and he is fronting a BBC travelogue along Ireland's west coast, Ronan Keating's Wild Atlantic.

Charity work is central to Ronan's public life. In 1998 he founded the Marie Keating Foundation, the cancer awareness and support charity set up in memory of his mother. He has run the London Marathon, climbed Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief and swum the Irish Sea as part of a celebrity relay team, and in 2009 received a Special Achievement Award from Cancer Research UK. He has also served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.

He has worked with brands including Hugo Boss, Porsche and Superdry, and made his West End stage debut in the musical Once.
