“Welcome to one woman’s story of bravery, ambition & self belief.” In 2024 Charlie Martin waved the Pride flag from the podium at Le Mans, embodying a career spent fuelling change in motorsport. She knows the bravery it takes to look and feel different, and how this impacts your ability to perform under pressure. The courage required to transition in motorsport unlocked her potential, landing her a place in British Vogue Magazine’s 25 extraordinary women changing the World. From driving progress in her own industry to igniting personal growth in others, Charlie is passionate about coaching people to work better together. She helps people realise their true potential by breaking down barriers, re-imagining what is possible and designing a road map to drive change forwards. She creates lasting impact, uplifting and up-skilling teams with the tools they need to enhance performance, build trust, belonging, resilience and purpose. Her ability to deliver an engaging message with tangible actions has helped multiple Fortune 500’s such as Meta, 3M, Amazon, Ford, Verizon, Oracle, BMW Group, Dow and Goldman Sachs. Additional info Charlie has been competing in motorsport for 20 years. She has raced internationally throughout Europe, North America and the UK. In 2020 she made history as the first ever transgender driver to compete in the legendary Nurburgring 24hr race (Germany). In 2024 she finished 2nd in class at the support race for the 24 Hours of Le Mans (Lamborghini Super Trofeo). Her path to professional racer has been unconventional, without any family support or karting - she started with £1,500. She works with charities like Stonewall to increase the visibility and acceptance of LGBTQ+ people in sport and beyond. She is a BMW ‘Friend of the Brand’ She is a Motorsport UK (governing body for motorsport) Inclusion Ambassador and advises on MSUK's committee for LGBTQ+ inclusion. She featured in British Vogue Magazine’s ‘Vogue 25’, a celebration of inspiring women shaping the world in 2021 and beyond. She is also in the 2023 December issue alongside Vanessa Kingori and Edith Bowman She is a keen trail runner, surfer and snowboarder, and adventure sports lover. She is a Ninja Warrior UK semi finalist, she beat The Wall first time in her heat. She is lives in Brighton, UK, with her partner who is a personal trainer and gym owner.
